Cancy Redmond
Born in Manila Philippines, Cancy went to a Chinese Buddhist school for her early years. When she was 14, the Bernardo family emigrated to New Zealand, which became their new home. Cancy Bernardo is the second child of Lily Bernardo and Carlos Bernardo, and is now 36 years old.
I learned a lot from the experience and met many wonderful people there |
In April 1997, Cancy became a Christian. In 2000, Cancy spent a year and a half in Melbourne, Australia as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
"It was one of the greatest highlights of my life. I learned a lot from the experience and met many wonderful people there. My life has benefited tremendously from the character that I developed as a missionary."
In 1998 Cancy met Craig and after three years they married in 2001. They have been married for 11 years now, and enjoy travelling together, and living in exotic places. They now have four children: Ethan, Joshua, Kyla & Amy.
Cancy and Craig
This year, 2012, so far has been a busy one for us. Craig was in Toronto for a few months at the beginning of the year. We now have Fraser & his family move in near to us, which means the kids can now know what it's like to have cousins nearby. Joshua & Ethan are both being home-schooled. The kids enjoyed their summer and yes, we are still in Chorley! [more]
Kyla is a big girl now going to primary school. She has been so excited going to the big school. [more]
Ethan passed his GCSE higher level maths exam. This is normally for 15 year old children, but he did it at age eight. He's now working towards three A-level exams which are normally for 16 and 17 year olds. [more]
For one of his homework, Ethan had an idea to turn his story writing to a book. We then released his second book and put it on our website. He got a head teacher's award for it and did a good job writing and editing it. [see book release].
