BackupProcessor
What is it?
BackupProcessor™ makes it really easy to backup folders and files all scattered across your computer. In fact, it makes it so easy, you'll probably start doing your backups every day.
BackupProcessor™ includes:
- Backs up as many folders as you want, from anywhere on your computer.
- Only backs up a folder if there has been a change since the previous backup.
- Backs up each folder as a separate .zip file with the date and time on the file name.
- Lets you specify where backups should be stored.
- Allows you to separately specify individual files to also be backed up under the name
Individual_Files_To_Backup.
- Automatically copies backups to an external drive if specified.
How to Install
- BackupProcessor™ requires Perl 5.8.0. If you don't have it, download it now.
- Run
ppm install TermReadKey
- Download BackupProcessor™
- Create a folder somewhere (like
C:\Program Files\backupProcessor on windows or /opt/backupProcessor on Linux) and unzip the contents of the download into it.
- Open
backupProcessor.pl in a text editor and tell it what folders and files you want it to backup.
- Double-click
backupProcessor.pl to run your backup.
