1998 How Cancy And Craig Met

After first spotting Cancy at a church activity, Craig was instantly attracted to her and struck up a casual friendship. Then, a month later, on 25 Feb 1998 he wrote Cancy an email saying "Just wanted to say hi...Nothing else really. You've been on my mind a lot lately and I wanted to talk."

She replied that same day saying "well its nice to be thought about,... that's probably why I've been tripping over and knocking myself,.. and choking a lot... hehehe...".

A few days later while dropping him home after an activity, Cancy agreed to stay and chat... later that night Craig indicated his interest in a deeper relationship. Although Cancy said she didn't feel the same attraction, Cancy felt comfortable and said she was happy to continue as good friends.

Over the following month they saw each other almost every day. Gradually Cancy's felt a change in her feelings and was soon very much in love with Craig as well. The best part was that over this period they had laid the foundation of a rock solid friendship which has remained with them ever since.

For the next couple of years they would spend almost all their spare time together... seeing each other almost every day. They would go on all sorts of dates together... mostly low budget dates as neither of them had much money.

06. One Sunday afternoon, Cancy fell asleep in Craig's arms. Craig pulled a notebook from his pocket and drew this picture of Cancy.

07. They would often stop at the Hamilton Temple. Sometimes they would think about getting married there someday.

08. They would spend many a weekend exploring the New Zealand country-side, often finding very beautiful spots to take photos.

10. They love getting dressed up for special occasions. Cancy loves the look of Craig dressed in a smart suit and tie.

11. Cancy's dog attacks! - The first time Craig went to Cancy's house she warned him about their pet dog named Lucky.

12. Many weekends were spent driving around in very old bombs of cars because that's all they could afford. This was one of them.

13. Brought up in the city, Cancy has always loved to be around farm animals... this day was no exception.

14. One Saturday morning while exploring a rocky coastal beach on the Auckland shoreline they narrowly escaped the incoming tide!
